The Ministry of Construction has assigned Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem) to produce between 18 million and 18.5 million tons of cement in 2010, up 6.76% from a year earlier.
Cement joint ventures and grinding stations will
make between 15 million-15.5 million tons and 17 million-17.5 million
tons, respectively this year.
Vietnam’s cement consumption will reach 50
million-51.5 million tons of cement in 2010, up 9.89%-13.18% from a year
earlier, the MoC said.
Last year, Vietnam imported 3.4 million tons of
clinker and used 45.5 million tons of cement, up 11.4% on-year.
